Activities:
The first concerts of the Assembly were held in spring 1995, with concert-tour dedicated to
the 80th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide (1915). These concerts illustrated the
guiding principles of the organizers and served as a basis for subsequent development of
the organization’s activity. In all, beginning from 1995, more than 60 concerts have been
arranged by the Assembly.
Three scientific conferences followed by theses publications were held under aegis of the
Assembly. Dozens of regular meetings with composers and artists were organized, and
several international music festivals (dedicated to anniversaries of Armenian composers
Aram Khachaturian, Avet Terterian, Vahram Babayan) were held.
Since 2001 the Assembly started it’s contribution with “Komitas” publishing house. During
following 4 years over 24 scores of Armenian modern composers were published and
successfully sold worldwide, 3 CD collections of Armenian ethnic music were recorded
and produced.
