Members
The Armenian Musical Assembly is a non-governmental, non-for-profit organization,
established in 1994. Five composers and one musicologist have formed a group with the
intention to promote and support modern Armenian Music worldwide. During the last 10
years, the organizational body expanded, and now includes also piano-players, violinists,
vocalists, two Honorary Members and small administrative staff.
In the beginning, the establishment of the Assembly and its initiatives were
enthusiastically encouraged by the Consul of Armenian Embassy in Great Britain, the
English Trust Fund of Essefian Family and great Belgian music lover Mr. Christian
Khachikov - first patrons and donors of the Assembly. Nowadays, we are closely working
with the International Composers Union, British Council in Armenia, World Vision Arts
Support department, Avet Terterian’s Music Fund and others.
At present, organization possesses a small, but nice by furnished Concert Hall, that
provides 200 seats, and, in fact, this number is actually enough to create the regular
audience and involve it into the activities of the organization, aimed at the support of best
creative forces of Modern Music
